Structure

The bodies for the establishment, organisation and operation of the Programme are 5. These include:

 

  1. The Senate of UniWA, from which the supervising Department originates, which determines matters of establishment, operation and termination of the programme.
  2. The Curriculum Committee (CuC) of the Programme, which is responsible for the organisation, administration and management of the Programme and exercises the same powers as those of the Department Assembly according to paragraph 3, article 81 of Law 4957/2022. The CuC consists of 7 faculty members from the collaborating Departments of the UniWA and the University of Peloponnese, namely 5 members from the Department of Public and Community Health and 2 members from the Department of Philology. It is constituted by decision of the Senate of UniWA.
  3. The Coordinating Committee (CoC) of the Programme, which is responsible for monitoring and coordinating its operation. The CoC consists of the Programme Director and 4 faculty members of the CuC, who have a relevant subject area to that of the Programme and undertake teaching work in it. The CoC shall be established by decision of the CuC and shall have a two-year term of office.
  4. The Programme Director, preferably at the rank of Professor or Associate Professor, is appointed by decision of the CuC for a two-year term, renewable without limitation, and is from the Department of Public and Community Health. The Director chairs the meetings of the CoC, recommends organisational and operational issues, is the scientific leader of the programme, monitors the implementation of decisions and budget, and exercises additional responsibilities as prescribed by law.
  5. The Postgraduate Studies Committee of the collaborating Institutions, which are established in each of the Institutions by decision of the Senate, upon the proposal of the Deans of the Faculties of the respective Institution. The Committee is composed of 1 faculty member from each faculty of the Institution, 1 member from the categories of members of the SEP, LTP and SLTP and the Vice Rector, who is responsible for academic matters, as its President. The members of the Committee shall have experience in the organisation and participation in second cycle curricula and shall serve a two-year term of office.
